Overview

When you buy an SC-1 it comes out of the box as an idiot-proof Compass and Speedometer. If you want more functionality, you can download and install our free Velocitek Control Center Windows application. Velocitek Control Center allows you to enable the SC-1's advanced modes, download GPS data from your SC-1 and launch birds-eye view video replays of your races and training sessions.

SC-1 Modes

Any two modes can be displayed simultaneously. Click on a heading to jump to the relevant section in the SC-1 Reference Manual.

Speedometer

* Maximum speed recall
* Best 10 second average speed recall


Compass

* Adjustable damping
* Programmable artificial declination for direct comparison with a magnetic compass


Tactical Compass

* Displays your heading relative to the wind direction
* Makes wind shifts easy to identify
* Display shows the same number at equivalent angles on either tack

VMG

* Calculates and displays upwind and downwind VMG in real-time based on a user-programmed wind direction
* Responding to wind shifts in Tactical Compass mode automatically adjusts the wind direction used to calculate VMG

Timer

* 1-9 minute countdown sequences available

Start Line Proximity

* Indicates distance to start line in meters or boat lengths
