One of the best ways to experience the Open 5.70 is going out for a private demo. You will get to spend time on the water with one or more experienced Open Sailing representatives who know the Open 5.70 inside and out. You will have an opportunity to drive and crew on the boat. Not only will you get a really good feel for how the boat performs you won't have to worry about a thing and the Open Sailing representatives will be able to answer all your questions.

We recommend you allow about 3 hours for the full experience. The boat will be ready to cast off when you arrive. For first two hours of the demo you are in charge - you can enjoy the helm or you try your hand at crewing. If weather permits, considering the safety of everyone aboard, we will use all sails and will be happy to perform plenty of spinnaker launches and douses in order to give you a good idea of what the Open 5.70 is all about. After returning to the dock we will spend an hour with you going over the boat, answering any questions that you may have and most likely showing you how the boat is taken out of the water.

For a private demo there would typically just be yourself and an Open Sailing representative on the boat. If wind conditions are good there is plenty of room for a 3rd person on the boat if you were to bring a friend or spouse. For larger groups we might be able to provide multiple boats and / or a chase boat so that people can swap while out on the water.

Unfortunately we can't afford to give everyone a private demo for free (please see our pricing for more information). However, if you decide to purchase an Open 5.70 then any money spent on your private demo will be reimbursed.
