Boat shows are a great opportunity to check out the Open 5.70 and other Open Boats. More often than not they are only on display during the show but we try and have at least one Open 5.70 available before / during / after the show to take people sailing. Boat show demos are typically free of charge although we may ask for a deposit.

One advantage of boat shows is that they take us beyond the California border - Open Sailing often has a presence at shows in Chicago, Miami, Oakland, Annapolis to name a few. Check out our Boat Shows page for upcoming events.

Going sailing at a Boat Show really only gives you a taste of the what the Open 5.70 has to offer. Typically each ride will be a half hour or less and depending on the experience level we may or may not fly the spinnaker. Also you will have little opportunity to be at the helm. If you are looking for a more hands on experience with more personal attention you should consider a private demo.
