Our knowledgeable instructors can teach based on one of our many classes or customize the material to your specific needs.

We will spend the time to evaluate your current ability and work with you to see which areas of your sailing you'd like to improve the most. While our focus is certainly on high performance sailing and racing we can still coach you on the fundamentals including sail trim and sailing with spinnakers.

As a student you will have the choice of learning on either:

	The Open 5.70 - a popular one-design performance sport boat. This boat makes a great learning platform - it's fast, fun and forgiving. It has a rolling furler jib and an asymmetrical spinnaker to make sail handling easy. This will allow you to focus on the finer points of sailing such as sail trim and helmsmanship. The 19 footer is also very maneuverable allowing you to experiment with different starting strategies and close quarter boat handling skills. Also, since this boat is typically double handed it is ideal for coaching individuals or groups of 2.
	The Open 6.50 - an exotic high adrenaline sport boat. This boat is best suited to more experienced sailors that are looking to learn more about the high performance side of sport boat sailing. With a large sail plan and lightweight carbon hull this boat guarantees a thrill. It provides a great opportunity to learn about managing power upwind and surfing fast downwind. Since this boat requires at least 3 crew it is certainly more suitable for coaching groups of 2 or 3.
	Your Boat If you have your own boat then why not be coached on it. Our instructors have experience sailing on many different boats from dinghies to multihulls to sport boats to cruising boats. The principles of sailing remain unchanged regardless of the boat you are sailing on.
