11 Open 5.70s at Long Beach Race Week

Chicago Sportboat Demo
The Open 5.70 paid a visit Chicago to attend a sportboat demo weekend organized by Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club. It was a fantastic opportunity for sailors in the area to try out the Open 5.70 and see what it has to offer. Read more
Open 5.70 Worlds
With the Open 5.70 becoming an ISAF recognized class and with fleets growing all over Europe and now here in the US it is only right that there should be a "World Cup". The event is being hosted in the Open 5.70s country of origin - France. 3 teams from the US will be making the trip to test their skills against the best Open 5.70 sailors from around the world. Factory News
Two more boats will be coming out of the factory in the month of July. An orange hull will be joining the Marina del Rey fleet - bringing the total to 8. A white hull is bound for New York adding to the 3 boats that are already sailing on the East coast.
MAC Sponsor
The UCLA Marina Aquatic Center has been providing the local community with up to date wind (and other weather) information for the last few years. In order to support UCLA MAC and the local sailors that use their website Open Sailing has kindly donated a brand new weather station. Their site has also been updated to include an iPhone friendly version of their latest weather data.
Esprit Marina Boat Show
The boat show at the Esprit Marina in Marina del Rey included the opportunity to go sailing on an Open 5.70. Many people took their chances and went out for a thrill ride on the boat. Read more.
