Hull #1 Celebration

Production of the Open 5.70 in the US is now in full swing and hull #1 should be completed in the next couple of weeks. To celebrate the occasion Open Sailing is planning on throwing a party to christen the new boat and celebrate this landmark event in the history of the Open 5.70. Foiling About

Our Flying Moth is proudly displayed at the front of our shop in Venice where it continues to draw some puzzled looks. Even with the water temperature in the low 50s we'll be out sailing trying to perfect the art of foiling. Now that we're soon to become the North American Distributor for the Fastacraft Prowler Moth we are excited to see the class grow in the area.

Velocitek SpeedPuck

At Open Sailing we've always been fans of Velocitek and their products. Their latest and greatest achievement is the Speed Puck. The SpeedPuck combines a high-accuracy GPS speedometer, compass and bar graph wind shift indicator in a compact, durable package.
