This trophy is awarded to the boat with the best average score from all designated One-Design regattas in a season. Scoring will use the High-Point scoring system which takes into account how many boats attended the regatta. One-Design events are chosen by the Fleet members at the beginning of the season. In order for results from an event to count towards the trophy the Open 5.70 must be recognized as a one-design class by the regatta and 3 or more Open 5.70s must have competed. An Open 5.70 must race in at least 60% of the One-Design regattas to be eligible for the trophy. Boats that do not attend a regatta will be finished as last place + 2. For every 5 races on the calendar a boat will be given ONE throw-out (so if there are 10 regattas in a year, 2 of them are throw-outs).
