One of the only two Finot-Conq Open 40 !

Make no mistake: this is not a class 40. The Open 40, designed in 2001 by Finot-Conq is a full carbon fiber boat, with a rotating wing tapered mast. The Open 40 is about 1,000 lbs lighter than the lightest Class 40 out there, carries more mast (69 feet), more sail area (the boom itself is 25 feet) and more ballast (up to 1.6 metric ton on each side)!!! Big Sisters

The Vendee Globe is probably the worlds most famous round the world race. The challenge is to sail around the world single-handed without any stopovers. There are very few boats and even fewer sailors that are capable of completing this race.
