The Pogo 2 – Mini 6.50 built in the USA by Open Sailing

We are working hard on the Pogo 2 Project. Since we announced the production of the Pogo 2 in the USA, we have been contacted by many individuals and sailors in the industry who can’t wait to see the boat being built in this country.
We have been in touch on a daily basis with Pogo Structures, French builder to organize shipping of the tooling. As of today, we are hoping to have the tooling to arrive at our factory at the end of April. With already boats to be build in the pipeline, we are hoping to have the first Pogo 2 made in the USA to come out of the molds by the end of May.

Our goal is not only to build and sell the Pogo 2. Open Sailing will be racing and promoting the Mini Class in the USA. We are already talking to other Mini owners about adding racing to the existing race circuit. Look for us during the 2011 Mini Transpac!

More information about the Pogo 2, for those of you who don’t know the boat, are available on our website:
Pogo 2 Introduction.
Pogo 2 Features.
Pogo 2 Specifications.

This link is also an interesting review of a Transat sailor aboard the Pogo 2.

The boat is sold for $55K without sails and trailer.
