Ten boats.  Five races.  Two days.  The recipe for a classic Southern California weekend!

Enthusiasm on the water was almost as big as our start line – set for the Farr 40 fleet – but it still felt somewhat congested as boats jockeyed aggressively for a tactical advantage.

Saturday saw typical light air and calm waters with exciting shifts that kept us on our toes.  Probably none more entertaining then the twenty degree left shift in the final minute of our first starting sequence – I could hear circus music in my head.  Cal Yacht Club was on the ball and did a great job squaring up the course at every opportunity.

Once again, the Pogo 2 was the smallest boat in the fleet. PSSA (Pacific Singlehanded Sailing Association) organizes every year multiple offshore races for singlehanded and doublehanded sailors. This year, we have chosen to campaign the Pogo 2 doublehanded in preparation for Pacific Cup.

USA 822 came out of our shipyard on February the 8th and was launched on the 9th out of Marina Del Rey.

This Pogo 2, race number USA 822 was named by the new owner MINI BAR! The name just set the tone!!
