The Open 5.70 Class Association High Sierra Regatta race report is featured on the front page of Sailing Anarchy.

USA 279 is back on the water! It was one of these “sad” stories where a new boat was purchased but never sailed. USA 279 first touched the water back in August 2009 in Marina Del Rey, CA. Unfortunately, the original owner never had time to enjoy it. After a little while, the boat was available as a “pre-owned” boat on the used market. Recently, Team Farniente, already doing very well on Farr 40 “Farniente”, decided to join the Open 5.70 fleet and purchased USA 279. Their goal is to have fun, perfect their one design skills and sharpen the Farr 40 crew aboard the little “Farniente 5.70″!

We are welcoming “Farniente Open 5.70″ which is going to start practicing on beer can races until the end of the season and getting ready for 2011 racing season with the other 20 + Open 5.70s on the west coast!
