Smallest Boat, Largest Fleet

Long Beach Race Week is one of the largest events on the Southern California racing calendar. It has also been the host for the Open 5.70 Pacific Coast Championships for the last two years. For the 3rd Pacific Coast Championship boats travelled from all over California to compete and try to take the title from the two time winner – Team Festa. There were 15 boats on the start line – the largest one-design fleet at Long Beach Race Week which had a total of 140+ boats competing on three race courses. With the tooling for the Pogo 2 about to clear U.S. Customs and pretty much most of the production details now cleared out, we are ready to launch production of the Pogo 2 in the USA. We already have 3 Pogo 2 to build and hope that after the first boats built, sailed and raced, many of you will join the class and enjoy everything that a mini 6.50 boats have to offer.

Largest Fleet @ Cal Race Week

The Open 5.70 showed up in force at Cal Race Week. With 11 boats on the starting line the Open 5.70s were one of the largest one-design classes (the Star boats also showed up with 11 boats). This is the most boats the class has seen on the line since last years Pacific Coast Championship at Long Beach Race Week. There were 9 local boats and 2 boats which had traveled down from San Francisco for the premier Marina del Rey regatta.

Watch Cal Race Week LIVE!

Check out all 12 Open 5.70s racing LIVE! this weekend at Cal Race Week! All of the boats at the regatta are being tracked using Kattack LIVE! The Open 5.70 fleet showed up in force with the 2nd largest fleet in a regatta of 90+ boats! The competition is hotting up as the sailors battle for the overall one-design trophy and with the Pacific Coast Championship at the end of the month Cal Race Week is going to be a great event!!
